Warranty & After-Care
WARRANTY & AFTER-CARE · 25–30 YEAR ASSET
What you're protected by, and how we look after your pool for the long term
A pool is a 25–30 year asset. The warranty terms behind it should reflect that timeframe, and the after-care relationship should make ownership easy. Here's exactly what's covered, what isn't, and how Wahoo's after-care works.
10-YEAR STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
Pool shell — protected for a decade
Every Wahoo pool shell carries a 10-year structural warranty. This is what that means in practical terms.
Structural coverage — what's in and what's out
What is covered
• Cracking or failure of structural concrete shell from defects in our materials or workmanship
• Failure of the steel reinforcing arrangement (which is why we have an aquatic engineer sign off before spraying)
• Major structural movement traceable to construction defectsWhat is not covered
• Cosmetic damage to pebble-crete finish from chemical imbalance or abrasive cleaning
• Cracks from external ground movement (removed trees, earthworks, neighbouring construction)
• Damage from emptying the pool without our written approval
• Natural disaster damage covered by home and contents insurance
EQUIPMENT WARRANTIES · ZODIAC/WATERCO DEALER
Extended warranties & priority service
Wahoo is an authorised dealer of both Zodiac and Waterco — Australia's two leading pool equipment brands. This delivers two real benefits:
- Extended warranty terms on Zodiac and Waterco equipment, longer than standard retail warranties. Specific terms documented in your handover paperwork.
- Priority service calls. Warranty claims route ahead of standard queues. Most warranty service calls completed within 5 business days.
Standard manufacturer warranties cover defects, motor failures, and seal failures during the warranty period. Wear-and-tear consumables follow normal manufacturer terms.
POOL SAFETY CERTIFICATE
Queensland legal requirement — how Wahoo handles it
Under the Queensland Building Act 1975 and the Queensland Pool Safety Act, every pool in Queensland must have a current Pool Safety Certificate.
- Inspection at handover. We schedule a QLD Pool Safety Inspector during your handover week. They inspect fencing, gates, latches, CPR signage, and surroundings.
- Certificate issued. Valid for 2 years for non-shared (residential) pools, 1 year for shared.
- Renewal at 2 years. Book directly with a Pool Safety Inspector ($150–$250 typical).
- Selling your home. Current certificate required at transfer — keep yours filed.
CPR sign: Wahoo provides and installs the compliant Queensland Heart Foundation-standard CPR sign as part of every build. Replace if it fades or is damaged.
